JJ-CCR Rebreather Courses

Ingredients for a great course Reb:

Fantastic  island with very clear water; A Diving since 1991,  24 seasons with the same management and with the same enthusiasm and that you are always up to date in terms of safety and new technologies; an instructor with years of experience and with a passion to want to convey to their students the secrets acquired through years and years of diving.
The rebreather courses  JJ-CCR and Inspiration are conducted weekly (by reservation) by Andrea Donati, IART Instructor and TDI, and are divided into three segments: Theory, where you deal with, develop and increase the knowledge about diving in circuit closed; diving, at least 8 in the first level, where you will learn how to best use of rebreather in total safety; at least two afternoons where you learn to do the maintenance of rebreather to know every part.
The goal is to convey all the knowledge and the secrets of the result of great experience and lots of dives for year!

JJ-CCR Rebreather Air diluent course

The IART JJ- CCR Air Diluent course  is the basic entry level certification for Closed Circuit Rebreather diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving on a CCR to a maximum depth of 30m.

What you learn?
Using the latest in technology CCR’s to maximize your gas supply of Nitrox and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). During the dives (minimum of six) you'll learn all the necessary  skills to conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 30m.

Skills include:
• Setup and maintenance of the unit
• Loop volume management
• Calibration of electronics
• Emergency procedures
• Buoyancy control
• CNS tracking

Qualification gained
Upon successful completion, you will be able to perform dives using the specific rebreather you were taught on, to a maximum depth of 30m, using an air diluent with no decompression allowed.

Pre-requisites
• be a minimum age of 18 years
• hold a certification Nitrox Diver or equivalent (this can be combined into the course)
• have a minimum of 20 logged open water dives.

Course structure
5-days. With classroom, confined water session and 8 open water dives. 420 minutes underwater time required for certification.

Equipment
You will need your own full set of diving kit; use of unit included, gasses, sofnolime, licence.

Cost:
EURO 1000

 JJ-CCR Rebreather mixed gas diluent

The IART JJ- CCR Mixed Gas course is your next step into closed circuit rebreather diving, with the addition of helium as a diluent gas. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for CCR mixed gas diving, and to develop skills suitable for CCR technical diving to a maximum of 60m.

What you learn
Using the latest in technology CCR’s maximize your gas supply and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygenn (PPO2). During the dives (minimum of six) you'll learn all the nesscery skills to conduct CCR dives using helium as a diluent gas and oxygen levels as low as 16% to a maximum depth of 60m.

Skills include:
•Calculating off-board gas requirements
•Recovering from system failure
•Calibration of electronics
•Emergency procedures
•Removing and replacing off-board gases
•Surface marker buoy deployment

Qualification gained
Upon successful completion, you will be able to perform dives using the specific rebreather you were taught on, to a maximum depth of 60m, using a mixed gas diluent containing a minimum of 16% Oxygen.

Pre-requisites
• be a minimum age of 18 years
• hold a  CCR Air Diluent Decompression Procedures Diver certification or equivalent
• Provide a verified log of a minimum of 50 rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of 50 dives on the specific rebreather; 50 percent deeper than 20 metres. All must be deeper than 9 metres
• If the diver has 50 hours on another CCR unit recognized, only 25 hours are required to be on the specific unit

Course structure
5-days with 6 dives. 1 dive will be for skill refresher and equipment configuration while the remaining 5 will all be carried out using mixed gas and deeper than 40m. 360 minutes underwater time required for certification.

 Cost:
EURO 800

JJ-CCR Rebreather Advanced mixed gas diluent

The JJ-CCR 3 level course develops in the partecipant the required abilities, knowledge and techniques conduct decompression dives safety and responsably with CCR using a Hipoxic diluent to a maximum 90 meters.

Theis course prepares teh student for the safe and responsable execution of decompression dives using helium mixed gas as diluent.

All theoretical and pratical aspect of trimix diving or heliox related to the JJ-CCR amongst other themes the teory covers:
phisiological and psycological aspects of mixed gas diving, decompression planning, equipment configuration for multiple bailout cylinders, use of baiout gasses, safe and dive practices and emergency procedures with CCR.
The training dives include the proper planning, gas analysis and labelling, equipment familiarization (removal, replacement and use of travel/ deco mix bailout stage) emergency amnd out-of-gas procedures, ascent reel and lift bag deployment and proper CCR decompression techniques.

The training reflects the standards required by the manufaturer of the rebreather; IART is authorized by the manufacturer to conduct this training.
The IART level III course manual is constantly revised and improved in consultation with the manufacturer to reflect new developments resulting from technical improvements or gained through dive experience. you will receive the current edition from your IART JJ-CCR instructor.

Course structure:

5 days, 6 dives;

Cost:
800 EURO
