The fourth edition of Rebreather Meeting
The fourth edition of rebreather meeting was ended in the fantastic surrounding of Ponza, spent and characterized by spring days, by beautiful diving and the presence of speakers and prominent guests such as:
Dr. Pasquale Longobardi, health director of the Hyperbaric Centre of Ravenna, who presented the results of recent research regarding the mixtures based on helium;
Dr. Corrado Costanzo explained us about the news on studies carried out in a hyperbaric chamber on “hypoxia”;
Luigi Anastasi, with its nearly thirty years of experience as technical manager of Linde Gas in Rome, explained about the risks and dangers in management of compressed gases, and especially about the oxygen;
Matteo Amadori explained perfectly the rules and dangers of refills of compressed air and the issues related to compressors and air quality;
Manlio Pagotto, MPS gas booster owner, has masterfully reported the news and the latest innovations in oxygen booster pumps , manufacturer of sophisticated and very reliable gas booster;
Cesare Balzi for Santi Italy showed us mute, heated undersuite and heated gloves, much appreciated by CCR divers, making them available for testing in 3 days diving;
The Suex, represented by Marco Colman and Ivo Calabrese has provided the performance and high quality about the underwater scooters; many divers tested the performance;
Alfredo Ciulli X-Dive owner’s , manufacturer of last generation underwater lamps, has made available HID and LED lamps to test to all the many rebreather diver’s;
David Thompson JJ-CCR representative, one of the most expert in rebreather design has certainly given an international aspect and important event delighting tips and tricks dictated by the huge experience on CCR;
Fabio Perozzi and Francesco Saverio D'aquino presented the first book dedicated to the world of rebreather from them written in Italian and translated into English "Reb why not";
Gabriele Paparo showed us the quality and the performance about the new CCR computer by Dive System factory;
The presence of speakers of such thickness and the response of many reb divers from all over Italy, Belgium, England and Egypt have made the event really interesting doing spend wonderful days of sharing of knowledge in a relaxed atmosphera.
